Brookfield's Dancing Star Contestant Bob DeFalco Tops $15,000 in Donations for Family & Children's Aid

Bob DeFalco and his partner, Fred Astaire instructor Isabelle Gollwitzer, will be taking to the dance floor in an attempt to win the coveted glitter ball trophy (along with prize money for his charity, Family & Children's Aid) Friday, September 9, 2016 as part of Brookfield’s Dancing Stars Gala.

This black-tie event is chock full of all the fun, glitz and glamour of the hit TV show Dancing with the Stars, plus all the proceeds benefit charities. Mirroring the television show, local Brookfield celebrities will perform polished choreographed routines.

Each celebrity contestant has their own page where you can follow their progress and donate. Donations count as votes towards the People’s Choice Award. A panel of celebrity judges will decide the winner of the dancing competition after performances at the event.

Who will receive the coveted mirror ball trophy and a cash prize to be added to their fundraising efforts for the charity of their choice? We sure hope it's our dancing star Bob DeFalco!

Hosted by Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Brookfield, this year’s Gala will be an evening of music and entertainment at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, Connecticut. Guests will partake in a VIP cocktail reception where they can mix and mingle and meet the contestants and judges, peruse the items of the silent and live auction, and enjoy hor d'oeuvres.

A formal gourmet surf and turf dinner will follow accompanied by dancing to the musical stylings of the Hot Cat Jazz Band.

The evening will end with performances by the dance professionals at Fred Astaire, the dance competition, and an award ceremony where winners will be announced, checks will be presented to each of the charities, and the mirror ball trophy will be awarded.
