Our New Milford baseball clinic on October 23 marks the end of the 2021 season! Family & Children’s Aid hosted five baseball clinics this year in coordination with the MLB Alumni Players. They have featured big names like Art Shamsky, who won the World Series with the Mets in 1969.
The event series was open to kids ages 6-16, and each clinic was followed by a Chick-Fil-A lunch and a players meet-and-greet, where they signed baseballs.
“It’s a really fun day for the kids,” one parent told an FCA staff member. “This is our third.” In total, about three hundred kids participated in the events in Danbury, Waterbury, Ridgefield, New Milford, and Carmel! We can’t wait for another season in 2022!
