MLB to Host FREE Youth Clinic in Danbury

Angel Echevarria at the MLB Youth ClinicMajor League Baseball’s former players organize clinics teaching baseball and life skills all across the country to teach kids about the game.

And now in partnership with Family & Children’s Aid and the Danbury Westerners, they plan to host a clinic in Danbury for the first time.

The MLB Players Alumni Association will hold this special baseball event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 30 at Rogers Park, the home of the Danbury Westerners.

The clinic will feature about 10 former MLB players and the first 300 children to arrive will receive a free t-shirt, and an official Rawlings baseball. After the baseball instruction, the players will stay for autographs and pictures.

Registration is free for children and the clinic is recommended for children ages 4 to 18. Participants can register online at www.fcaweb.org/forms/bb. For additional information contact Allison Carballo at (203) 205-2633.
